Hi Dimitri.

Thank you for this nice program

Hm, I actually edited that post with an update.
It seems that when one is not active for long after opening post for edit it is not stored when posted.

I have tried to use version 54 from fedora and version 56 from mageia, but there are dependencies they need, so that failed.

Using wine the installer fail downloading all files.

We have one windows 7 computer in family (more exactly my dual bot work laptop) so i installed it on that for now.

Will install on Mageia 6 when it is released.

Now i have installed Mageia 6 development version ("Cauldron") 64 bit.

After just having run the Physion (current, 1.2.0) installer, and i start Physion from terminal:

> $ cd ~/Physion
> $ ./Run.sh
> ./Physion: error while loading shared libraries: libicui18n.so.54: cannot open shared object > file: No such file or directory

I see version 56 is installed. ( Mageia 6 package lib64icu56 )
Why can Physion not use that?
I try to solve it by symlinking:

> # cd /usr/lib64
> # ln -s libicudata.so.56 libicudata.so.54
> # ln -s libicui18n.so.56 libicui18n.so.54
> # ln -s libicuio.so.56 libicuio.so.54
> # ln -s libicule.so.56 libicule.so.54
> # ln -s libiculx.so.56 libiculx.so.54
> # ln -s libicutest.so.56 libicutest.so.54
> # ln -s libicutu.so.56 libicutu.so.54
> # ln -s libicuuc.so.56 libicuuc.so.54

Now it say:
> $ ./Run.sh
> ./Physion: symbol lookup error: ./lib/libQt5Core.so.5: undefined symbol: ucnv_getDefaultName_54

Well, those brainfree Qt-Developers dont care about backward-compability, that's why most of my stuff doesn't work in V1.2 either (see here).
Infact so many functionality missing that i stopped looking at it, and just still use the old version of Physion.
The same goes for you, you have to install 5.4, else it wont work.
If you cant get it try Wine and install the Windows-Version as i decribed above - this works fine and as Physion only needs CPU-Power it wont be slower as the native Linux-Version.

And it seems Dimitris has given up on the project, no updates, still no up/downloading of scenes, no information if anything is done. And to bad old versions are not downloadable either. :-/
Infinity is vast, especially near end.
bye, Lynxx
