I just uploaded a scene called flowanalysis. Run it and take a look at the flow of particles. After a minute or two you will see the compression of "fluid" above the block. Is there a way to measure the Pressure or Density of the "fluid:.

I was able to run the analysis and then isolate unit square above and below the block.

I then made clear zones around the two isolated square and let them expand (had to turn gravity one to get them to separate).

I could then count the number of balls in each square. This should give an approximation of pressure.
