Physion Showcase

A collection of featured scenes created with Physion

  • Mechanical Binary Counter

A binary counter with five mechanical switches that counts from 0 to 31. Marbles fall from the top of the mechanism activating or deactivating the switches and their corresponding bits. A simple analog mechanism that simulates digital logic.

Inspired by marble adding machine from woodgears.ca

  • Push Walker v1.0

    Simple pendulum push walker

  • Plinko

Plinko, a thrilling game of chance, comes to life in this simulation. Disks drop from the top, bouncing through pegs to land in slots with multipliers, adjusting the balance dynamically. The unpredictable path adds suspense to this engaging game of luck.

  • Melodic Rainbow Pendulums

    Melodic Rainbow Pendulums

  • Circular Motion Polyrhythm

Multiple balls (each with a unique color and musical note) perform circular motions on concentric tracks.

  • Musical Pendulums

In this simulation we have a number of pendulums each of which has a different length. Each pendulum has a rainbow color and a musical note. Each time the pendulum passes from its equilibrium position, its note is played. This produces a satisfying polyrhythm

  • Rainbow Polyrhythm

A bunch of balls bouncing between two walls in a zero-gravity environment. A linear gradient is used in order to generate rainbow colors which are then assigned to each ball. Also, each ball has an associated note and every time a collision occurs, the corresponding note is played using Tone.js PolySynth. It all comes together to create a cool polyrhythmic experience.

  • Water Maze Solver

Using liquids simulation to solve a simple maze. Inspired by bergmanjoe and Can water solve a maze? by Steve Mould.

  • Hexapod Walker

A hexapod walker that uses six legs for locomotion, much like an insect.

The mechanism is composed of a central body with fixed rotation and six articulated legs attached at various points.

  • Particles Demo

    Gas and Smoke Particles Demonstration

  • Biped Walker

    a 2 legged walker

  • Centrifugal Force

Simulation of Centrifugal force: Illustrates the force that appears to act on an object moving in a circular path, pushing it away from the center of the circle.

  • Rotary Generator

    Yet another random scene :)

  • Simple Pendulum

A demonstration of a simple pendulum in Physion. In this simulation the suspended mass moves in an oscillatory motion while a graph is used to visualize its linear velocity.

  • Rack and Pinnion

Finally got it to work. Lets hope this gets to featured By: Foox 2 featured in a row yay

  • Trammel of Archimedes v3

by: foox background borrowed from v2 made by tester yay featured :D

  • Trammel of Archimedes v2
  • Lissajous Mechanism

A simple mechanism that generates a Lissajous curve

  • Water Battle

    YOOOOO THIS IS FEATURED?????

  • planetary gearbox

this is a planetary gearbox. the three small gears (the "planets") "orbit" around the "sun" (the big one in the center), spinning the sun fast

  • Wave Machine

A wave machine containing color mixing particles. The frame is attached to the background using a revolute joint. A simple script is used to change the joint's speed periodically.

  • Jellies

This Scene demonstrates elastic (soft) bodies

  • Mixing Liquids

    Color mixing liquids demo

  • Stereo Accelerator
  • Production Line

A mechanism which resembles a factory production line. The Scene consists of a Generator node which will continuously create copies of itself and a Destroyer node which is responsible for destroying any object that collides with it .

  • Balanced Dominos

A domino pyramid being destroyed by a wrecking ball.

  • Fractured Text
  • Mirrored Mechanism

Mechanism which demonstrates the mirroring tool.

First the right part was created which was then mirrored to the left.

  • Multiply or Release

A classic Multiply or Release game (from MIKAN) in Physion with 4 teams: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue. Who will be the winner? Watch on Youtube: https://youtu.be/BgpIU7FuIx8

  • Theo Jansen in Space

Theo Jansen's mechanism wandering in space!

  • Circle of Circles

Many circle bodies arranged in concentric circles falling down and colliding with some static objects.

The color gradient was created using d3-scale-chromatic.

  • Teleporters

A sample scene which demonstrates the use of Teleporters in Physion.

A Teleporter is composed of two bodies A and B. When a body in the Scene collides with Body A it will be teleported to the position of Body B.

  • Spider Web

Concentric layers of circles linked together with distance and revolute joints.

  • Tracer

A simple demonstration of a tracer.

This tracer was created using the Tracer script that can be found in the Assets browser.

  • First Marble Race

This is the first marble race in Physion.

    The countries participating are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

    Which country will finish first?
